To share the announcement, Jennie uploaded a 33-second video to her YouTube channel. The clip captures her emotive expressions as she sings lines from the album, including, “In the dark I grew, money cannot buy no real friends.” The teaser has generated significant buzz, with fans eagerly anticipating the album’s release.
A while ago, Jennie spoke about her album and opened up about the challenges she faced while working on her solo career, revealing how stepping out of her comfort zone was crucial in shaping her upcoming album. In the conversation, Jennie noted that she decided to record most of her album in Los Angeles, leaving behind the familiar surroundings of Seoul. She believes that meeting new people in LA, who could inspire her and push her creativity, played a key role in the preparation for her album.
Meanwhile, according to Korea Joongang Daily, Jennie’s agency Odd Atelier (OA Entertainment) shared that Ruby will highlight her "infinite musical potential," promising a bold and unique sound that reflects her growth as an artist.
